Fern and Audrey, LLC : The Treasure of ME Being Human
This website contains a number of podcasts, some featuring Fern and Audrey with Dr. Michael Hieser, Dr. Tim Mackie and others. Helpful definitions and descriptions are provided by a team with over 30 years of experience working with folks with extreme trauma and dissociation.
The Year 1 Course, The Treasure of ME Being Human, is an excellent, well researched compilation of the best that neurobiological research has to offer featuring Dr. Diane Langberg, Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk, Dr. Peter Levine, etc. This course is highly recommended to each of my clients as it is not exclusive to only trauma survivors, but teaches the building blocks for healthy wholehearted living.
Dr. Diane Langberg
A pioneer in the field of trauma recovery with over 50 years of experience.
Her website contains 15 free podcasts and there are many on YouTube. She is Libby’s favorite compassionate speaker with insights into how she has learned from survivors of trauma.
“You cannot cast out what was woven into a soul to survive evil. You must love it into integration.”
Hidden In Christ
Graham Cooke provides heart language for the love of Christ expressed towards you, His beloved. I encourage you to quiet yourself and listen to this musical mediation in order to consider how He sees and feels about you when He thinks of you. This is a 6 minute YouTube audio. “Becoming the Beloved.”
Dr. Curt Thompson
The Center for Being Known Podcast, as well as all of Dr. Curt Thompson’s books and his very affordable group work through his Confessional Communities are all highly recommended. He is an expert in interpersonal neurobiology, yet his podcasts and teachings are entertaining, applicable and interactive.
Every January, hundreds of story telling confessional communities begin. I encourage you to take a look and apply before they fill up!
United With Christ
John Eldridge has been a key figure in the world of believers going after the heart of God for over 35 years. The Sacred Romance remains my favorite book to this day.
“Most of us live in a fog. It's like life is a movie we arrived to 20 minutes late. You know something important seems to be going on. But we can't figure out the story. We don't know what part we're supposed to play or what the plot is.”
Storytelling Mentors
Dr. Dan Allender has been a pioneer in story work and recovery of trauma, especially sexual trauma for over 30 years. His website has over 1000 podcasts. I have not listened to all of them, but he remains a respected voice.
One of his mentees, Adam Young, also has over a hundred podcasts on story and trauma recovery:
